Varsity Wrestling (#1) won the Assembly Match against Hartland High School (#3) 47-15 at Catholic Central High School.
The Assembly Match is a tradition for the Shamrocks dating back to the years of Coach Mike Rodriguez where the first match of the season is held during the school day in the gymnasium in front of the entire student body.
"It is a great time for our wrestlers to get some recognition in front of their Shamrock brothers and the energy in the gym is electric," said Coach Hancock, "It was great to see [previous head coaches] Yeager and Rod in the audience today. I want to thank Hartland for coming to wrestle in such a tough environment for an away team. Overall a great day and great win for our team. Now we focus on the rest of the season."
CC Wrestling takes to the mat again on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Romeo Duals and returns home to face Davison (#2) on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
