Hockey Wins CHSL Championship With 4–3 Victory Over St. Francis

12/10/2025 3:50:00 PM

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, Catholic Central claimed the CHSL Championship with a hard-fought 4–3 win over St. Francis de Sales. The victory marked another strong milestone in what has already been an impressive start to the season.

We caught up with Jack Dorgan '26, who reflected on the team's momentum and the culture driving their success.

"We're currently 10–1, coming off a big win in the Catholic League Championship. The season has been strong so far, but what really makes this team different is the standard we hold ourselves to every day," Dorgan shared.

He also noted how the team's experience this fall helped shape their approach on and off the ice. "After 14 of our guys attended Kairos this fall, the captains started a new tradition of praying before every practice. Everyone participates, but it's become something that grounds us and helps us get our minds right," he continued.

That mindset carries into their season-long focus. "Our motto this year is 'redefine the standard,' and that means focusing on the process more than the outcome. We know our end goal, but what matters most is showing up the right way every single day," he concluded.

The Shamrocks return to action on Thursday, December 11, 2025, against Riverview Gabriel Richard. Congratulations to our student-athletes on a championship performance and a strong season so far.
