The tradition of excellence continues for Catholic Central Wrestling, as the Shamrocks powered through the MHSAA Division 1 Regional Finals to secure their place in the Team State Finals. With a commanding victory over Northville, the Shamrocks punched their ticket to Kalamazoo, where they will compete for a team state championship.
As the #1 seed, Catholic Central (24-5) will take on #8 Romeo (26-13) in the Quarterfinals on Friday at 2:15 PM at Wings Arena. The Shamrocks aim to extend their dominant run and move one step closer to another state title.

Shamrocks Shine at Individual Regionals
Catholic Central's success wasn't limited to the team competition. This past Saturday at Saline High School, the Shamrocks showcased their individual talent, advancing 14 wrestlers to the MHSAA Individual State Finals. The boys in blue captured an impressive nine Regional Titles, three Runner-up finishes, and two third-place finishes.
Regional Champions: Wyatt Lees, Mack Moscovic, Nathan Walkowiak, Grayson Fuchs, Alex Buskirk, Braxton Roche, Caden Krueger, Lee Krueger, and Connor Bercume.
2nd Place Finishers: Ryan Totten, Meyer Murray, and Jamison Gregory.
3rd Place Finishers: Andrew White and Caden Waatti.
The Individual State Finals will be held at Ford Field on Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 1.Â
Coach Hancock had this to say after the Regionals, "Our team has been forged in fire, we've wrestled an incredibly challenging scheduling featuring 4 teams in the top 20 in the country. They believe in the process and are really wrestling well.  I'm proud of the way they competed and represented our program."
