Catholic Central's ski team won its first Division 1 regional championship since 2010, highlighting a strong season of consistent performances.

"It's been top to bottom probably the most dominant year we've had in terms of the regular league," said head coach Jake Lachowicz. "We had our best finish in a long time at our Catholic League tournament, finishing second behind Orchard Lake St. Mary's, which was a very solid finish."

Senior captain Finn Patterson led the way for the Shamrocks, placing seventh in slalom and fourth in giant slalom at regionals. Juniors Zachary Sobczak and Tanner Kapilla also put up strong results, helping Catholic Central stay competitive throughout the season.

"I've got three guys who are very capable of placing in the top 10, and it's really them finishing every single run on regional day that attributed to most of our success," Lachowicz said.
