Catholic Central's varsity lacrosse team won the CHSL Championship on Saturday, May 10, with a 12–11 overtime victory against Brother Rice at home.

The game had a delayed start, but the Shamrocks stayed focused as they faced a strong Brother Rice team. Catholic Central fell behind by two early and trailed for most of the game. They didn't pull even until late in regulation, tying the game for the first time. It was also their first and only lead of the night.

In overtime, team captain Christopher Moffatt '25 scored the winning goal. During a timeout, Moffatt asked for the ball and stepped up when it mattered most.

The win keeps the Shamrocks undefeated, improving their record to 17–0.

Catholic Central now turns its attention to the postseason. They travel to Grand Rapids on Thursday to take on Forest Hills Central, then return home Saturday at 1 p.m. to open the first round of the state playoffs.
