Catholic Central Athletics Wraps Another Strong Year

As the 2024–2025 athletic season concludes, Catholic Central reflects on a year of well-rounded success across nearly every sport.

Of the 27 Catholic Central teams that competed head-to-head this year, 26 finished with winning records. Combined across all levels, CC teams recorded 364 wins, 102 losses, and 21 ties, resulting in an overall winning percentage of .781.

State Championships

Catholic Central earned five state championships during the 2024–2025 season:

  • Hockey

  • Wrestling

  • Golf

  • Rugby

  • Esports – Valorant and Fortnite both won Spring State Championships

Top 10 Finishes at the State Level

In addition to championship titles, seven other CC teams finished among the top 10 in their respective sports:

  • Football – Final Four

  • Soccer – Final Eight

  • Swimming – 5th place

  • Skiing – 6th place

  • Boardercross – 4th place

  • Track & Field – 6th place

  • Lacrosse – State Runner-Up (2nd place)

Catholic League and National Recognition

CC teams also earned six Catholic League Championships this year, underscoring consistent performance within one of Michigan's most competitive leagues.

Beyond athletic competition, Catholic Central was ranked among the Top 25 high schools nationally for scholar-athletes, recognizing students who maintain high academic standards alongside their athletic commitments.

Growing Success in Esports

Esports continues to expand at Catholic Central, with both the Fortnite and Valorant teams capturing Spring State Championships and earning top-eight national rankings. This marks another milestone in the development of CC's competitive gaming program.
