Catholic Central's golf team is state champion once again.

The Shamrocks overcame a nine-stroke deficit entering the final round and surged to their third consecutive MHSAA Division 1 State Championship on June 6 at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids. DCC finished the 36-hole tournament with a team score of 590, edging Brother Rice by two strokes.  According to Head Coach Mike Fras '85, this was the largest comeback after day one for a Division 1 state championship (9 back).

Jack Whitmore '26 led the way for the Shamrocks, shooting a second-round 69 and finishing with a two-day total of 145. His highlight of the day came on the 18th hole, where he holed out from 75 yards for eagle.

Collin Davis '26 (146), Luke Slankster '26 (149), Salvatore Camalo '29 (150), and David Krusinski '26 also contributed to the championship effort as CC captured its fourth state title in the last five seasons.

Congratulations to Coach Mike Fras '85 and the entire Shamrock golf program on another outstanding season and state championship run.
