June Athlete of the Month: Lachlan Moffatt ’25 – Lacrosse
Detroit Catholic Central is proud to recognize Lachlan Moffatt ’25 as our June Athlete of the Month for his leadership and impact on the Varsity Lacrosse team.
A senior attackman, Moffatt played a key role in helping the Shamrocks complete an undefeated regular season—an impressive milestone for the program. His ability to step up in crucial moments has been an asset to the team all year.
One of the highlights of the season came during the Catholic League Bishop Division championship game against Brother Rice. In a tight overtime battle, Moffatt scored the game-winning goal to lift Catholic Central to a 12–11 victory. The moment reflected his composure and ability to deliver when it matters most.
Over the course of the season, Moffatt has been a consistent offensive contributor and a steady presence on the field. His performance has earned him a spot as a finalist for the 2024 Michigan Player of the Year, along with recognition as a Warrior Lacrosse Player of the Year candidate.
In addition to his success in athletics, Moffatt also excels in the classroom and demonstrates strong character and work ethic. This fall, he will continue his academic and lacrosse journey at Villanova University.
Congratulations to Lachlan Moffatt on being named our June Athlete of the Month.
