1976 STATE CHAMPIONS BASKETBALL TEAM

One of the greatest basketball teams in CC history, the 1976 Basketball team finished with a 25-3 record, culminating with both the Catholic League and Class A State Championships. They not only brought home CC's second Basketball State Championship with an incredible run to the State Championship with wins over perennial powerhouses (Highland Park, Henry Ford, "Magic" Johnson's Lansing Everett, and Saginaw), but also broke many records set by the 1972-73 team: most team wins at 25; most team points at 1998; most individual season points at 569 (Mike Prince), and most career points at 1181 (Mike Prince , all-around outstanding performances by Alan Mitchell, Bill Parran, Dan Fitzgerald, Dave Able, Rick Kaye, Rob Gonzales and the rest of the squad made this a truly memorable team in the annals of CC basketball.
