FR. MARTIN'S ALL-STAR CC BASEBALL TEAM
Fr. Martin's legendary CC Baseball teams of the 1930's and 1940's won 15 consecutive Catholic High School League (CHSL) Championships and numerous City Championships. Many of Fr. Martin's players went on to play college baseball and over a dozen of them signed contracts with major league franchises, predominantly with the Detroit Tigers. Three of his players played in the 1945 World Series for the Tigers and the Chicago Cubs. In 1950, the Michigan Catholic Newspaper published a list of Fr. Martin's best players from these two decades and called the group: Fr. Martin's All Stars
