BIOGRAPHY
BILL CARPENTER
Mr. Bill Carpenter's induction recognizes tireless service to CC and CC's athletic program and represents the school's appreciation for incalculable volunteers who support CC student - athletes. Bill was a member of the Catholic Central Dad's Club for over twenty (20) years eventually becoming ids President. Mr. Carpenter also served as Chairman of the Athletic Committee. He organized major events including Boys' Bowl, hockey and wrestling tournaments and bingo. Bill worked for nearly every conceivable athletic event despite battling cancer in later years. Mr. Carpenter's two sons, Michael ('75) and Kevin ('81) both graduated from Catholic Central, but Bill continued to volunteer for ten (10) years beyond their graduation. In 1991, Bill Carpenter was inducted into the Detroit Catholic High School League (CHSL) Hall of Fame Bill's love for CC could only be conquered by cancer; he passed in 1992.
