NADHIR BROTHERS
The Nadhir Family has become synonymous with Detroit Catholic Central Wrestling. Throughout the 1970s, no other family dominated the Shamrock Wrestling world in quite the same way. Saad '72, Waad '74, and Nemir '78 achieved success that has propelled their family name into the history books of CC Wrestling. Saad was a member of the 1970 and1971 State Champion Wrestling Teams. Waad won two individual state championships (1973 & 1974) and earned All-State and All-American honors. Furthermore, Waad helped lead his team to the 1974 state championship during his senior season. Nemir also won two individual state championships (1976 & 1978) and earned All&ate and All-American honors. Nemir finished in 2nd place at che State finals in 1977. Nemir helped lead the program to the 1978 state championship and a runner-up finish in 1977. Both Waad and Nemir continued their wrestling careers at Michigan State University in the Big Ten Conference.
