BIOGRAPHY
FRANK HAGGERTY '64
Considered to be one of Catholic Central's finest trackmen, Frank Haggerty was captain of CC's 1964 Track Team while setting school records in high and low hurdles, long jump and relays. His record of 59' 3" in the long jump relay still stands to this day. As a senior, Frank was the recipient of the Fr. James H. Wielan Award. After graduation from CC, Frank attended Harvard University, where he set a school record in the 440-yard hurdles, and won seven letters in track & field. He became Harvard's Track Coach in 1982, the first to coach both the men's and women's track programs. Frank retired in 2006 after 31 years of coaching his beloved sport.
