BIOGRAPHY

CHRIS ANTONIOTTI '69

Chris Antoniotti is widely considered a building block of Catholic Central Wrestling. A four-year Varsity wrestler, Chris was the first Individual State Champion and All-American in Catholic Central history in 1969. As Co-Captain of the 1969 squad, he also led the program to its first Team State Championship in school history and the first of three consecutive State Titles under Hall of Fame coach Mike Rodriguez. Following graduation, Chris wrestled at the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of the 1974 NCAA Championship team. After college, Chris spent his career teaching and coaching wrestling in Arizona, where he won a total of nine Team State Championships and coached 46 Individual State Champions, retiring as one of the most decorated high school coaches in Arizona history.
