The Shamrocks' first Bowling Team State Championship in School History was the 4th State Championship earned during a record-setting 2009-2010 School Year. The season started strong with Captains Nick Carvalho and Scott Kujawa, but it ended the regular season with a shaky run to the state tournament. The Shamrocks got things back in order in time for the playoffs and captured the Division 1 state bowling title in Battle Creek.

In the MHSAA State Tournament, Catholic Central (CC) secured the #7 seed after the qualifying round, defeating #2 Salem in the quarterfinals and Flint Carman Ainsworth in the semifinals. CC Hall of Fame Head coach Al Bridges led the Shamrocks to a Division 1 state title with a 1,834-1,565 win over Macomb Dakota.  The Championship Match was decided by one regular game and four Baker games. “It was a very rewarding, but also very surprising season,” Bridges said. “We struggled throughout the season but got our act together on the right day. My team made their spares and eliminated their mistakes.”
