BIOGRAPHY

MIKE BROWN '75

Arguably one of the greatest of all CC Hockey players, Mike Brown was the first ever Shamrock to be drafted into the NHL. But prior to being picked by the New York Rangers in 1977, Mike earned three varsity hockey letters and was twice named All State and twice named captain while leading the Shamrocks to the 1974 State Championship. Mike also lettered twice in baseball before earning a scholarship to play hockey at Western Michigan University. After his playing days ended, Mike became a legendary high school and junior hockey coach leading his teams to 10 league championships, 4 state championships, 5 state runner-ups, 2 North American championships and 2 USA Hockey National Championships.
