BIOGRAPHY
WALTER BARTELS '86
A multi-sport star, Walt played a unique combination of sports at CC, lettering in both Tennis and Hockey. Walt played Varsity Tennis for 3 seasons, named Captain as a senior and led his 1985 Shamrocks to CC's first Tennis State Championship. Walt also starred on the Varsity Hockey team for 2 seasons and was Captain of the 1986 Hockey Team. As a senior in 1986, Walt won the Fr. James Whelan Award and earned a hockey scholarship to Michigan State University.
